Alyson graduated Summa Cum Laud from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  She received her Juris Doctor degree from the West Virginia University College of Law where she was a member of the prestigious Moot Court Board. 

Following graduation, Alyson co-founded Ambler & Dotson, LC, a law firm located in Lewisburg, WV.  She began a general practice of law, focusing primarily on family law and estate planning.  During this time, Alyson discovered that the needs of her clients varied greatly and there is no “one-size-fits-all” in the practice of law.  In order to address these differences and better suit the needs of every client, Alyson offers limited scope representation, as well as, traditional full service representation in the area of family law.
